This development coincides with Carroll being in motion from Newcastle to Liverpool, where he will undergo the same process Torres faces in London: medical, and then crash negotiations over a new contract. Something tells me, though, that Torres's negotiations won't last long. Carroll's however, with Liverpool having made a very late play for the England international, may be more dicey, but with the 22-year-old striker having yet to fully cash-in on his success, Liverpool may not need to break the bank to offer Carroll improved wages.
All of this piles onto a dizzying weekend for Reds supporters.
