MLS Mock Draft: Seattle Sounders Select Anthony Ampaipitakwong With 11th Pick

11. Anthony Ampaipitakwong (Seattle Sounders)

Dave Clark (Sounder At Heart): While Seattle has few needs, all of them feature depth. With nearly 50 games at the senior level and Seattle could use a player who can contribute off the bench and in Open Cup play. Anthony (I'm not spelling that name twice) can develop into a solid CM/CAM hybrid playing alongside Zakuani while learning from Montero and Fernandez. Eventually earning a starting role over Brad Evans.

Drew Epperley (WV Hooligan): Ampai is an amazing player that some will rate really high while others will have him a bit lower here. He's got plenty of experience that Sigi Schmid will love to have. Plus he's familiar with another Sounder in Steve Zakuani which has to be a plus. I see him as a replacement down the road for Brad Evans which is something Seattle needed to address in this draft anyways.
