MLS Mock Draft: Portland Timbers Select Ryan Kinne With 22nd Overall Pick
Geoff Gibson (Stumptown Footy): I chose Ryan because, well, quite frankly we need a forward at this point. While Kinne certainly wasn't one of the best forwards in this year's SuperDraft he has time and again with Monmouth shown his ability to press and attack when needed. I would consider him to be a valuable player after some time spent developing him with professionals.
Drew Epperley (WV Hooligan): This team needs forwards and why not go for the best out there? Nice to see Kinne go this early in the second round. This is a smart pick for Portland as Kinne is a polished striker and one that continue to develop into strong starter for John Spencer.
