MLS Mock Draft: New York Red Bulls Select Josue Soto With 30th Overall Pick

30. Josue Soto (New York Red Bulls)

Ben Schneider (Once A Metro): The Red Bulls have one of the best and most physically robust central midfields in the league, but it is not the most creative. Mehdi Ballouchy has brought a bit more craft, and Matt Kassel (a homegrown player out of the University of Maryland) could add in some more attacking flair, but Soto can bring more goals to the Red Bulls' midfield. The four-year starter at Campbell and SMU will improve New York's offensive production from the center of the park and offer a different option from the likes of Tony Tchani, Rafael Marquez, and Carl Robinson.

Drew Epperley (WV Hooligan): I've seen plenty of Soto these last couple years and this is a nice pick for NY. He'll have plenty of time to learn under guys like Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez which is what a player like him needs right now.
