Cagliari Vs AC Milan: Milan Takes Lead Minutes Before The End, Win 1-0 On Rodney Strasser Goal

A beautiful backheel from Robinho ultimately set up AC Milan’s goal, scored by substitute Rodney Strasser. Robino sent the ball through to Antonio Cassano, taking the field for the first time in a Milan shirt, who sent a pass through to Strasser, who had no problem sliding the ball into the net. The 85th minute goal is Strasser’s first for Milan and will likely be sufficient to take all three points from Cagliari.

While the home side will likely think they deserved at least a point from this match, the amount of chances Cagliari have squandered says differently. Cagliari have missed open headers in front of goal and one-on-ones with the keeper, and although Milan have also had a sloppy match, had Cagliari been able to convert their chances, they would have been clinging to a lead rather than ruing the points lost.

Although Cagliari had four minutes of injury time to try to change their fortunes, the score stands. Milan win 1-0, taking all three points and pulling further ahead at the top of Serie A.
