Inter Milan Vs Napoli: Michele Pazienza Equalizes For Napoli

Napoli have equalized at the San Siro off a corner kick, taking advantage of some outrageously poor defending by Inter Milan. Ezequiel Lavezzi, freshly returned to the Napoli side after recovering from an ankle injury, sent in a corner that just seemed to hang in the air. Midfielder Michele Pazienza got his head on the ball and knocked it into the space between the Inter defense and keeper Luca Castellazzi, who could only look on while it sailed by.

Napoli still have some work to do, however, if they want to re-establish themselves in the second spot at the table and truly challenge AC Milan for the scudetto. Maicon has been making easy work of Napoli defender Andrea Dossena every time he comes forward, while Lavezzi looks a bit rusty after being out for the last few weeks. Still, the visitors have settled down and are putting plenty of pressure on last year’s title holders.
