The first half between Jaguares and Necaxa was played at a bit of a pedestrian pace and didn’t feature a lot of action, but Jaguares’ new signing Damian Manso has ensured that the second half will be a much different story. In the 48th minute, off of a corner kick, Manso hit a great drive from 20 yards away from goal, hitting a great dive into the net with his right foot, beating Jorge Villalpando at his far post.
Necaxa Vs. Jaguares De Chiapas: Jaguares Leads Three Minutes Into Second Half Through Damian Manso
Necaxa would be forced into pushing some numbers forward in any game, but their sense of urgency is probably going to be more than most of us have ever seen from a team in the first game of a season. They are in a situation where literally every single point matters, a lot. They have a massive gap to make up in the relegation race and can hardly afford to drop points in matches where they are similar to their opponents in talent. Necaxa struggled to score goals all of the last tournament, but they’ll need to remedy that situation as soon as possible.
But back to a positive story, Manso might have Jaguares fans asking, Danilinho who? They have to be thrilled to see their new signing step up so big in his first game.
