Andreas Beck Signs New Two-Year Contract With Hoffenheim
Andreas Beck has signed a contract extension with Hoffenheim through the end of the 2013-2014 season.

Hoffenheim’s sporting director Ernst Tanner told the following to the club’s official website:
“Andreas has become synonymous with our club since his arrival and he has a great rapport with the fans. We’re delighted to be keeping our captain here until 2014.”
This is a big change from this past summer when Beck was looking to move pretty much anywhere. At one point he was heavily linked with a move to Juventus in the Italian Serie A. The move never materialized, and he remained at Hoffenheim for the start of the season
Beck, 24, has played every minute of the club’s first eight matches this season. He’s an anchor in a backline that is much improved from last year when they allowed 50 goals at season’s end. Hoffenheim’s ability to retain a defender of Beck’s quality shows that the club still has the aspirations to fight for a place in Europe.
