You know that a game isn't great when the first event of any note whatsoever is an injury. Describing DC United vs. the Chicago Fire as 'not great', however, is probably a dire insult to all mediocre games ever player - this has been a downright boring contest through the first 20 minutes, with neither side apparently realising that a draw does them no good.
DC United Vs. Chicago Fire, 2011 MLS: Micheal Videira Injury Only Notable Event Of Match
And, yes, the thigh injury to Michael Videira was the first thing that happened at the RFK Stadium. The Fire midfielder doesn't seem that badly hurt, the but visitors were forced to burn a substitute on pulling him out, putting Yamith Cuesta on in his place while Videira ices himself on the bench. Since then, both Dominic Oduro and Marco Pappa have fired shots towards Bill Hamid's goal - Pappa might have done better than shoot straight at the keeper - but, yeah, it's still boring. MOVE FASTER. ENTERTAIN. STOP BEING 0-0.
