At some point, Tecos might have wanted to mark Marco Fabian. They didn’t though and the result was Marco Fabian three, Tecos two. Oh yeah, Chivas Guadalajara also added two other goals so the real result was a 5-2 win for the Goats as they make a late run for a spot in the Liguilla.
Chivas Guadalajara Vs. Estudiantes Tecos, 2011 Apertura: Full Time, Marco Fabian Hat Trick Leads Goats
It took only six minutes for Erick ‘Cubo’ Torres to put Chivas in front, but Tecos answered well with what was semi-competent play. That only lasted until the half hour mark though, when it became the Marco Fabian Show. He scored in the 32nd minute, then added a second five minutes later. Not long after the halftime, Tecos got a goal from Eduardo Lillingston to cut the Chivas leads to 3-1, but Fabian answered with his third.
Chivas had one more goal in them, a second by Cubo that put the match to bed. Sure, Herculez Gomez added one late for Tecos, but that was just to keep us from falling asleep. The match was over, Fabian and Cubo made their points, and Chivas had a great three points that keeps them in the Luihilla hunt.
