Schalke’s Ralf Fährmann Suffers Knee Injury
Schalke 04 goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s clash with Kaiserslautern.

The injury occurred when Fährmann came off his line to make a play on Kaiserslautern forward Dorge Kouemaha. In the process of injuring his knee, Fährmann also gave away a penalty and was rewarded with a red card for his efforts.
Lars Unnerstall will likely fill in for Fährmann in the interim, but it remains to be seen whether Horst Heldt and Huub Stevens feel they need to bring in a goalkeeper with more experience. Two names being thrown around in particular are Timo Hildebrand and Jens Lehmann.
Hildebrand, 32, has been training in Frankfurt to stay in shape. He has not found a club since leaving Sporting Lisbon at the end of last season. Lehmann, 41, has been doing match commentary for Sky in Germany since a short stint at the end of last year with Arsenal.
