Leave it to FMF to stun everybody. The Mexican Primera produces outstanding footballers and entertaining football, but they’re also known for misinformation. Lucas Lobos was listed as injured and out for the Clasico Regiomontano for UANL Tigres, while Danilinho is healthy. Incredibly, Lobos will start while Danilinho will start on the bench. Monterrey has selected an extremely attacking lineup, as they will play all of Humberto Suazo, Dario Carreño and Sergio Santana. Here are the lineups.
UANL Tigres Vs. Monterrey Live, 2011 Clasico Regiomontano: Lineups
Tigres lineup (5-3-1-1): Palos; Jiménez, Salcido, Juninho, Ayala, Torres Nilo; Verón, Álvarez, Viniegra; Lobos; Mancilla
Monterrey lineup (4-3-3): Orozco; Meza, Osorio, Pérez, Basanta; Morales, Delgado, Pérez; Santana, Carreño, Suazo
Of course, these could change before kickoff. Mexico is just a little different than the rest of the world, and this stuff is never set in stone. The Clasico Regiomontano kicks off at 8:00 pm ET from the Estadio Universitario and can be seen on Telemundo in the USA. We’ll have coverage in our Mexican Primera, 2011 Apertura Week 14 StoryStream.
