UANL Tigres and Monterrey are locked up at 0-0 at halftime of the Clasico Regiomontano, and it’s been a well-played match. Of course, it’s not been a well-played match between the players who were supposed to be in the starting lineups. I quote myself, from when the lineups went up.

Of course, these could change before kickoff. Mexico is just a little different than the rest of the world, and this stuff is never set in stone.
Guess what happened?!? The lineups changed. The lineups I got from the Mexican football federation. Yes, the federation posts incorrect lineups. Unreal. Danilinho is, indeed on the pitch for UANL Tigres, and he has been among their best performers thus far.
Cesar Delgado and Jose Torres Nilo are having a fantastic battle down Monterrey's right hand side, with the Tigres left back having picked up an early yellow card that could be a factor as the match goes on. Humberto Suazo has been surprisingly quiet for the Rayados, as Tigres have had much more of the possession at home.
Monterrey is getting beat in the midfield, but without Jesus Zavala available on the bench, they don’t really have anyone who can take over in that area of the pitch. Walter Ayovi normally plays as a fullback or defensive winger, but he has played in the center in the past and could make a good addition for Monterrey. They also have Neri Cardozo, a tricky player who can make a serious difference off the bench.
The Rayados are in need of a win, while Tigres will likely be content with a draw. It’s the away team who are going to need to change their strategy for this game to do anything but end 0-0.
