Sir Alex Ferguson and his Manchester United side are looking to rebound from last week's 6-1 drubbing at the hands of their cross-town rivals, Manchester City. This week the Red Devils travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton hoping to rid themselves of the memories of that heavy loss.

Manchester United have lost to Everton only four times in the history of the Premier League, though they have failed to win at Goodison Park since 2007. Ferguson will again have much of his strongest XI available; Ashley Young picked up a toe injury, but he should be ready to go for this match. Only Johnny Evans, who filled in last week for Nemanja Vidic, is out due to suspension following his red card against Manchester City.

Meanwhile, David Moyes' Everton find themselves sitting in 13th after eight games played despite coming off an extraordinarily tough run of games. Last weekend the Toffees managed a last gasp victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage, but that win came in the midst of a run of games that feature Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea twice, all of which resulted in losses.

Everton will be without captain Phil Neville and talismanic midfielder Tim Cahill through injury and Royston Drenthe will miss this match due to suspension. Louis Saha is fit and should keep his place to face his former team after scoring twice in his last two games.

Both sides find themselves in need of a victory, though for different reason. Everton need this win to prevent yet another slow start to the Premier League season; whereas Manchester United need a victory in order to right the ship after last weekend’s tumultuous result.
