In case you were unaware, Juan Mata was a really good buy for Chelsea. He's been easily their most creative player all season, and once again, he's shown off the quality that was missing from the Blues prior to his arrival. He's the man who set up a goal for Chelsea in the 15th minute, putting them deservedly up on Arsenal. Frank Lampard finished, but Mata's assist was the real highlight.
Chelsea Vs. Arsenal Live, 2011 Premier League: Frank Lampard Goal Has Blues On Top
Arsenal's defense has looked in shambles throughout this match so far, and they finally had to pay for it. This time it was Per Mertesacker who was the most guilty party, as the German international completely lost Lampard. The way he stumbled around, it appeared to be his first day with the new feet. Mata put in a cross, Lampard hit a header, 1-0, easy as you like.
The Gunners have had chances of their own, but the finishing hasn’t been there. The way both defenses are playing, this game has a few more goals in it.
