Everyone that thought David Luiz was Chelsea's biggest problem in terms of defending now has their foot in their mouth. The back four of John Terry, Branoslav Ivanovic, Jose Bosingwa and Ashley Cole is in absolute shambles. Arsenal have turned this game on its head with two goals in seven minutes, with Theo Walcott putting the Gunners ahead 3-2 in the 56th minute. It was a brilliant individual effort by Walcott, but the defending was atrocious.
Chelsea Vs. Arsenal Live, 2011 Premier League: Theo Walcott Goal Has Gunners Up 3-2
With the ball at his feet 30 yards from goal, Walcott went down. Whether he was fouled or he just slipped isn't entirely clear, but in any event, no one on Chelsea cleared the ball away. Walcott got up, picked up the ball again, and then ran through a cluster of four Chelsea defenders surrounding him before hitting a piledriver past Petr Cech for the goal. It was a fantastic goal by Walcott, but the defending was downright embarrassing.
