Inter Milan Vs. Juventus, 2011 Serie A: Wait, No One’s Scored Again Yet?

Inter Milan are pressing forward, seeking an equalizer at the San Siro against Juventus. Wesley Sneijder sent a beautiful ball through to Maicon, racing up the right flank. But Gigi Buffon came flying out of goal to beat away the Brazilian's attempt, reminding observers that he still does deserve the starting role for Juve.

Leonardo Bonucci has seen the first yellow of the match for a fairly innocuous challenge on Mauro Zarate, but the resulting free kick from Sneijder couldn't get past the first bianconeri shirt. But as Inter continue to press, the visitors are able to exploit the space being left in the back. With some definite aging legs in the nerazzurri squad, and reserve keeper Luca Castellazzi between the sticks, it seems inevitable that another Juve goal is coming -- and that it's Alessandro Matri that wants it. Then again, the Old Lady haven't exactly had a watertight defense themselves thus far this season.
