It has been two weeks since Manchester United and Romanian side Otelul Galati faced off in Bucarest in their UEFA Champions League Group C match. That match ended 2-0 to the Red Devils, thanks to two Wayne Rooney penalties. This match will mark Otelul Galati's first trip match against an English team in England.

United currently sit second in their group; two points behind leaders Benfica, who play Swiss side FC Basel this week.

Sir Alex Ferguson will have to make several changes to his squad from the weekend. Captain Nemanja Vidic is unavailable after being sent off in Bucarest, meaning Rio Ferdinand is likely to make a swift return to United's line-up. Additionally, Darron Gibson, Chris Smalling, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverly, and Ryan Giggs, will all be missing thanks to injury.

Manchester United will be looking to begin another long unbeaten run at Old Trafford after their previous streak was broken by Manchester City just over a week ago. A win against Otelul Galati would set up a crucial match against Benfica which could determine the winner of the group.
