It’s not every week that Boise State can look at their conference opponent and feel as though they have their hands full. Saturday will be a rare exception. The Broncos (8-0, 3-0 Mountain West Conference) will face TCU (7-2, 4-0), a team with whom they have a pretty nice budding rivalry.
TCU Vs. Boise State 2011: Series History And Rivalry Notes
No. 5 Boise State faces a rare regular-season big game when they play TCU on Saturday.
Leading the way for the Broncos will be quarterback Kellen Moore, who is once again having a stellar season. He's completing 74.9 percent of his passes, which would be a career high, and has already thrown for 2,229 yards and 29 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He's also coming off a five-touchdown performance against UNLV last week. Boise State blog One Bronco Nation Under God had a little bit of advice for TCU:
UNLV played a good game against the Broncos and still lost by four touchdowns. One reason: They blitzed Kellen Moore to zero avail. TCU might want to stick in the tape on this one and edit its gameplan.
Meanwhile, TCU blog Frogs O’ War notes that this game being played at Boise State is a bit of a sore point, especially in light of the Broncos getting ready to jump ship for the Big East.
