Iachini’s last spell in charge was with Brescia, where Beppe actually had two chances to lift the fortunes of the Rondinelle. He took Brescia up into Serie A for the 2011-2012 season following a playoff win over Torino, but the team never managed to gain much traction up with the big boys. Iachini was fired in December 2010 but re-appointed two months later, although he was unable to lift Brescia out of the relegation zone.

Italy’s second division usually provides great fun, when one measures fun in the number of goals scored, but this week only Grosseto - Varese provided an excessive amount of goals, with the visitors leaving Tuscany the 5-1 victors.
