Sporting Kansas City Vs. Colorado Rapids, MLS Cup Playoffs 2011: It’s Cold

It's really cold in Kansas City tonight. It's raining too and really hard. Basically, it's really, really miserable there. Even so, there's a playoff match to be played so Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids are out there playing in some slop. Livestrong Sporting Park isn't quite full, but there are a lot of people out there braving the weather so good for them and Sporting.

The most amazing part is that the supporters’ section is completely full. The Cauldron has showed up in force despite the weather being absolutely abysmal. There isn’t any room in their end behind the goal and you can hear their each and every song loud and clear. High five to the Cauldron!

All of this is really necessary to point out because, let’s be serious, would you show up in 40 degree weather with the rain pelting down on you to watch the Rapids play? It’s basically guaranteed that the match will be unwatchable because of them and yet people showed up. I wouldn’t have. I hope they have a really thick alcohol blanket on.
