The Los Angeles Galaxy will have their full complement of Designated Players as they face the New York Red Bulls in the second leg of the Eastern Conference semifinal holding a 1-0 lead. David Beckham, Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane are all starting. Chris Birchall was given the start for Juninho, who is sitting out with a red-card suspension.

The Red Bulls will be without one of their three DPs, as Rafael Marquez is serving the first of a three-game suspension, stemming from the same incident that put Juninho out. In Marquez's place, Dax McCarty was given the start alongside Teemu Tainio in the central midfield.
