Oklahoma State is on the precipice of history as they get ready to face Kansas State. A win on Saturday could accomplish two things: Move the Cowboys to 9-0, matching their best start in school history, and potentially move them into one of the top two spots in the BCS, which would also be a first. The Nos. 1 and 2 teams in the BCS, LSU and Alabama, are facing off and the loser will almost certainly fall out of the top spot if the Cowboys win.
Kansas State Vs. Oklahoma State Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More
Oklahoma State has a chance to rise to never-before-reached heights with a win over Kansas State.

All of that was made possible, at least in part, courtesy of the Cowboys destruction of Baylor last week. How thorough was their win? Oklahoma State blog Cowboys Ride Free illustrates:
I think everyone forgets that when you’re down, oh say, 21 points after the first quarter, 35 after the second, and 46 after the third, you’re going to have to play fast and throw a bunch to try and keep it respectable. As a corollary, when you have 5 scoring drives under one minute (read that again, 5 times we scored touchdowns and the drive lasted less than 60 seconds) your defense is going to be on the field a ton, and will probably have some yards put up on it.
Kansas Sate, for their part, is coming off a rough loss to Oklahoma, a 41-point dismantling that ruined their otherwise perfect record. It was clearly the Wildcats’ biggest test of the year and they failed it miserably. But Kansas State blog Bring on the Cats notes the Cowboys’ biggest wins have come against now struggling teams:
Yes, there are wins over Baylor, at Missouri, at Texas and at Texas A&M, which all have been ranked at some point this season, but those teams now are a combined 18-12, hardly the stuff of champions.
