The real action in La Liga is taking place this Sunday, with Real Madrid in action early and Barcelona taking on Athletic Bilbao in the biggest match of the weekend, but Saturday featured a local derby and a couple of other big sides in action. Two of those big sides did not live up to expectations.
Spanish La Liga Saturday, Week 11: Los Che Win Valencia Derby, Two Other Games End 0-0
Perhaps the Levante dream is over. They’ve lost for the second straight match, this time in a local derby, and appear to be on their way to a slide down the table. Valencia are now third after this 3-0 win, with a Javi Venta own goal going in for Los Che in the 31st minute before ‘Tino’ Alberto Costa sealed the deal with a goal in the 50th minute.
Mallorca are not a very good team. Michael Laudrup quit because of their financial and ownership situation. And yet, Sevilla managed just one shot on target in a woeful performance on Saturday.
Betis 0-0 Malaga
Betis and Malaga both have great attacks and poor defenses...let’s forget this game even happened.
