Pep Guardiola: The Most Desirable Man in Spain

According to the readers of magazine Interviú , Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is the most desirable man in Spain for 2011. No doubt Pep is busy clearing a space next to his various accolades and trophies to make a place for this honored title.

I certainly cannot blame the readers of Interviú for bestowing this great honor on Guardiola, after all, he’s quite fashionably dressed, seems like a very nice man and who can resist his rugged beard and general look. You also have to enjoy his carefully tailored suits he sports on the sidelines. Basically, this honor makes complete sense to me.

Paraguayan model, actress and football fan Larissa Riquelme agrees with the women of Spain, saying in an interview in Interviú that “Guardiola is sexier than Mourinho”. Who am I to disagree with her?

Beating out Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho for the affection of Spanish women and Riquelme is a pretty big deal, so that certainly adds some luster to the victory. More importantly for Pep, it's yet another victory over his rival manager from Real Madrid, something that seems to have become fairly common place of late for the leader of the Blaugranes. The Special One will have to regroup in 2012 and step us his game if he wants to win the affection of the women of Spain.
