Those who feared a replication on the season's first Manchester Derby will be relieved by the first 20 minutes at Old Trafford, with Manchester City not only showing some ambition going forward but having the better of play in the match's first minutes. Most noteably, City is exploiting the channel in the left side of United's defense - between Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra. Twice David Silva has fed players through the opening. Once, Silva was put in on goal, giong just wide of the far post with a sixth minute chance, the best of the match thus far.
Manchester United Vs. Manchester City: Derby Still Scoreless, Into 25th Minute
When Manchester United has gained possession, they've been able to quickly move up the pitch down their left side, generating a number of corner kicks and once decent shot on goal, with Nani going high with his left from 20 yards up, the Portuguese cutting in after Wayne Rooney swung the ball in from the left flank. Unfortunately for United, such chances have failed to further present themselves, with the team's inability to win the ball back in midfield keeping them on the back foot.
But to this point, it has not hurt them on the scoresheet. Now into the 25th minute, the Manchester Derby is still 0-0.
