Manchester United Vs. Manchester City: Off David Silva’s Back, City Equalizes In 66th Minute

Manchester City had not mustered a decent threat since David Silva threatened Edwin van der Sar in the match's first six minutes. Even after their equalizer went in, you could argument City has failed to amass any similar danger, though some good fortune has them even after 65 minutes. Silva, City's most creative player throughout, saw a Edin Dzeko shot go off his back and into the left half of United's goal, evening the match at one.

The chance came wit Shawn Wright-Phillips on the ball, on the right flank, 26 yards from goal. The City substitute rolled a ball into the area, finding another substitute, Dzeko stopping a forward run to drop behind a descending back line.

A right footed shot looks innocent, but with Silva jumping an turning in front of the shot, City got the break they needed. The ball went off the Spaniard, deflecting into the left of net, past a frozen van der Sar. Thus, after 65 minutes, the score was 101.
