Bolton's attacks have been build on their quick passing, typically moving through the left-central of midfield, eventually hitting the channel between Jose Enrique and Fabricio Coloccini. Bolton first good chance early in the match came through side, eventually forcing a tough save from Stephen Harper. Their goal was also built from that point, with Johan Elmander distributing from the right-center of Bolton's attack, finding Daniel Sturridge at the top of the penalty area.
