It was a relatively easy first half for Mick McCarthy and his Wovlerhampton Wanderers. Wayne Hennessey has rarely been tested. Their goal, in the second minutes, was relatively easily crafted, and at the end of the half, DJ Campbell excused himself after losing his head. Up 1-0 at intermission, Wolves appear 45 minutes away from a valuable three points, potentially climbing out of 20th place.
Wolves Vs. Blackpool: Second Half Sees Wolves Try To Maintain Control
The match has been very open, something you would think favors Blackpool. But playing without Charlie Adam, the Tangerines have not been able to effectively used the areas deep and wide in Wolves' third. And suffice to say, Blackpool have been less dangerous from dead balls. Meanwhile, a strong day from Adam Hammill and Matthew Jarvis's advantage against Neal Eardley have given Wolves an advantage with the more open play.
That advantage has led to two changes from Ian Holloway. Toward the end of the first half, Ludovic Sylvestre was seen playing wider than Eardley, an attempt to contain Jarvis. Holloway also brought in Luke Varney for an ineffective Sergey Kornilenko.
Mick McCarthy, through injury, has also been forced into a change. Hammill is out, with Kevin Foley coming on.
