Scoring his second goal in as many matches, Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder may have sealed a victory over Blackpool. With a 22-yard, left-footed strike in the 54th minute, O'Hara beat Richard Kingson to give Wolves a 2-0 lead. Also playing up a man, Wolves appear to have done enough to earn three points.
Wolves Vs. Blackpool: Jamie O’Hara Puts Wolverhampton Up Two
The goal game as O’Hara claimed a ball just inside Blackpool’s half, his head of stream carrying up to within two strides of the Tangerines’ area, uncontested. There, the former Spur pulled-up and let go of a low shot toward the right corner. Kingson was poorly positioned to play the ball, the shot skidding past him before nestling inside the post, giving Wolverhampton their insurance.
In response, Ian Holloway has made his last two chances. Ludovic Sylvestre is off, as is James Beattie. Matt Phillips and Brett Ormerod are on.
