Maxi Rodriguez, falling to ground along Liverpool's left flank, has either tweaked something in his midsection or incurred a left leg problem. Regardless, Liverpool trainers were on the pitch in the 42nd minute, and Fabio Aurelio was jogging along the sideline. Though the Argentine has been able to continue, his injury worry adds to the Martin Skrtel knock, potentially giving Kenny Dalglish some decisions to make at halftime.

But before that halftime came, some fireworks in Chelsea's end, as Branislav Ivanovic and Petr Cech broke into a short-lived argument, the two having collided while playing a Martin Kelly cross. The Liverpool back-cum-wing sent a ball in from the right flank to just inside the six yard box.
