After Inter Milan’s comical slip-up against Brescia, their rivals AC Milan have every chance to open up a massive, almost insurmountable gap at the top of Serie A. This week, they host bottom feeders Bari, soon to be a Serie B side, so anything less than three points would be downright unacceptable for the Rossoneri. As a result, despite the fact that Milan’s reserves should give Bari a run for their money, Max Allegri has opted to pick a full strength side.

If Milan don’t step out to an early lead, they should probably be thoroughly embarrassed with themselves. I’m generally not in the business of patronizing clubs who aren’t performing so well, but seriously, Milan need to lock up the win early on in this one. Some say three points is three points, but a 1-0 win snatched at the death from Bari does nothing for a team’s confidence.
