Manchester City Vs. Reading, FA Cup: Micah Richards Puts Manchester City Up 1-0

Yeah, that was coming. Pressure from Mario Balotelli forces Reading to concede a corner, and David Silva whips it into the area, right onto the head of Micah Richards, who heads into the back of the net via a deflection from goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, who did about all he could to try to keep it out. That's 1-0 Manchester City with not much time left at all, which should set up a tasty-looking semifinal clash between themselves and Manchester United. Bizarrely, the home fans celebrate Richards' goal... by waving around a giant inflatable banana. I don't want to be the voice of gross over-sensitivity, but that seems just a little bit ill-advised.

Anyway, Reading reply by sending on Simon Church for Noel Hunt, which I believe is the footballing equivalent of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. They need to equalise or they’re out of the FA Cup despite giving City quite a fight . Expect some more risk-taking now from the Royals.
