After two disallowed goals that would have equalized, Juninho finally did the job for real with his second thunderbolt goal of the year. Juinho, the LA Galaxy midfielder, picked up a stray pass outside the penalty area, took one touch and fired his shot from about 24 yards out in the 39th minute.

The ball curled inside the near post and seemed to fool Matt Reis who was nowhere near being able to stop it. The goal was very similar to the one Juinho scored on Tuesday, but from the opposite side of the field. It was Juinho’s fourth goal of his MLS career, at least three of which have come on shots from outside the penalty area.
The Galaxy have had the better of play ever since falling behind on a goal from Shalrie Joseph in the fourth minute. The Revolution have not created many opportunities since then. Making matters worse, Marko Perovic went out with an apparent injury and has been replaced by Kenny Mansally.
