FC Dallas Vs. San Jose Earthquakes: Chris Wondolowski Strikes Twice, Quakes Lead 2-0
Wondowlski's first goal came in the 5th minute when was able to chest down a pass from Chris Leitch, spun and fired a left-footed strike inside the far post. He followed that up with a snap-header in the 23rd minute. FCD goalkeeper Kevin Hartman was helpless to stop either shot.
One of the hopes for the Earthquakes front office was to lessen the pressure on Wondolowski to carry his team’s offensive load. But with Steven Lenhart still ailing, Wondolowski still seems perfectly able to do the heavy lifting.
FC Dallas, meanwhile, was not looking for this kind of start to their season. Down 2-0 30 minutes into their second game, both at home, they are in danger of claiming just one point.
