Can We Start A Cesc Throwing The Match On Behalf Of His Beloved Club Rumor?

The long, winding and increasingly irritating saga of Cesc Fabregas leaving Arsenal to return to FC Barcelona has taken its sharpest turn yet as the midfielder has turned to throwing the match on behalf of his beloved club. How else would one explain Fabregas' horrid giveaway that began the move for Barcelona's goal in the first half of the crucial UEFA Champions League second leg?

Fabregas’ flirtation with Barcelona is well documented. Born in Barcelona and having attended his first match at the Camp Neu when he was just nine months old, Fabregas was a ardent supporter of the club and a product of their youth academy. He may have left Barcelona’s youth academy for Arsenal when he was 16, but the last year has been filled with rumor after rumor of the midfielder hoping to return to the club he grew up supporting. He had a Barcelona shirt put on him when celebrating Spain’s World Cup title and it seems like only a matter of time before he ditches Arsenal to rejoin Barcelona.

On Tuesday at the Camp Nou, Fabregas may have finally rejoined Barcelona. Just as any good Barcelona man is supposed to, Fabregas gave the ball to a guy in red and blue to begin a move that ended with a player he played alongside at the Barcelona academy, Lionel Messi, putting the ball into the net for a 1-0 lead. It was a sublime back heel from Fabregas that got Barcelona going, then a beautiful chip from Andres Iniesta set up a gorgeous Messi finish and the three Barcelona men had pieces together a great goal

With the tie now even and Barcelona with an away goal to their name, Faberegas has done his part to put the Catalans on their way to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. A match well thrown.
