The short-handed Vancouver Whitecaps have made some interesting moves to make up for the absence of several starters. Chief among them is putting Omar Salgado in the gameday 18 for the first time. The No. 1 overall pick in the most recent MLS SuperDraft only received clearance to play a couple of weeks ago and since then has been with the United States U-20 team. But with the U.S. crashing out of the tournament with a loss in the quarterfinals, he's back with the Whitecaps.

His return couldn't come soon enough. Eric Hassli, the team's Designated Player and leading scorer, will miss Saturday's game after receiving a red card on Wednesday. That is the second game this season that Hassli has missed due to a red-card suspension.
The other big change for the Whitecaps is Alain Rochat making his debut in the midfield. This is the third position Rochat has played in as many games, having appeared at left back and center back in his previous two matches.
Dynamo starters: Hall; Freeman, Boswell, Hainault, Ashe; Cruz, Cameron, Palmer, Davis; Weaver, Bruin. Reserves: Deric, Chabala, Robinson, Sarkodie, Clark, Dixon, Garey.
Whitecaps starters: Nolly; Leathers, DeMerit, Boxall, Wagner; Chiumiento, Brovsky, Rochat, Khalfan; Camilo, Harris. Reserves: Cannon, Duckett, Knight, Salgado, Teibert, Harmse, Akloul.
