Buoyed by goals from Cam Weaver, Bobby Boswell and Will Bruin, the Houston Dynamo picked up their first win of the season, beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 on Saturday. That leaves just Chivas USA and the Portland Timbers as the only two MLS teams without a victory four weeks into the season.

Weaver and Boswell's first-half goals were separated by just five minutes. Weaver opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a goal off an assist from Boswell. Less than a minute later, though, the Whitecaps tied the score on a Camilo Sanvezzo score that came off an assist from Davide Chiumiento. The Dynamo reclaimed the lead in the 42nd minute on Boswell header.
That's where the score remained until the 76th minute when Bruin got behind the defense, dribbled around Whitecaps goalkeeper Jay Nolly and scored from a sharp angle. The goal was Bruin's first of his MLS career.
Fellow 2011 SuperDraft first-round pick Omar Salgado also made his much awaited MLS debut for the Whitecaps. Salgado only recently received clearance to play for the Whitecaps before his 18th birthday and had been playing with the United States U-20 team in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying tournament. Salgado entered the game in the 84th minute and did not register a shot.
