Harsh perhaps, but even Inter fans can’t have that much hope. Lucio managed to get on the end of a free kick, heading it on to the center of the box, where Thiago Motta was waiting to simply tap past Manuel Neuer.

For his efforts, Thiago Motta was later rewarded with a yellow card for a late tackle, meaning that he will miss the next match -- which, unless Inter manage to score four goals in the next thirty minutes, so will the rest of the Italian side. At least they can console themselves with their current standing in Serie A, sitting safely in the third Champions League spot, six points above Lazio in fourth.
