The Los Angeles Galaxy may very well be satisfied with a point on the road against Toronto FC after their 0-0 tie, but they didn't make life any easier on themselves for the road trip's final game. David Beckham picked up his fifth yellow card of the season and Juninho picked up his second yellow card of the game just seconds before it ended, meaning both the Galaxy will be missing at least two of their midfielders on Sunday against the Chicago Fire. The Galaxy were already without Landon Donovan, who missed Wednesday's game with a knee injury.
Toronto FC Vs. LA Galaxy: Costly Tie For Galaxy
The Galaxy were able to create several good chances against TFC, hitting the woodwork twice. The first came off the foot of Chad Barrett, the former TFC striker, whose shot from about 15 yards out hit the crossbar early in the first half. Todd Dunivant then hit the post with a shot in the second half.
TFC's two best chances came on set pieces. Both times, though, headers were stopped by Galaxy goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.
The tie was the third of the season for both teams.
