Wow. If you thought the goal he scored against Schalke 04 in the Champions League last week was impressive, take a look at the shot Dejan Stankovic put in the net today against AS Roma, in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia. Off a cross from Esteban Cambiasso, Stankovic took one touch to control the ball, then volleyed it up the pitch, the ball slicing a perfect path between the Roma defenders and past a diving Doni to settle into the back of the net. That puts Inter Milan up 1-0 at halftime in the first leg of the two-legged tie.

The Stankovic goal really should have been an equalizer, however. In the 10th minute, Mirko Vucinic missed an absolute sitter, a tap-in served to him on a silver platter by Marco Borriello. That's two horrendous misses in two matches for the Montenegrin, and one has to wonder: is Vincenzo Montella thinking about pulling off Vucinic and taking his place himself?
