It didn’t take long for Jaguares de Chiapas to seize the lead against Jorge Wilstermann in Boliva. Although the visiting side are playing a mostly reserve side right now, their hosts are - for wont of a more descriptive word - bad. Bad enough to let Francisco Torres nip in in the seventh minute to convert a cross from Julio Frias, and bad enough to have given Jaguares several more chances to extend their lead in the first half.
Jorge Wilstermann Vs. Jaguares de Chiapas: Jaguares 1-0 Up At Halftime
The game has mostly been played in the Wilstermann attacking half, with the Mexican side happy enough to hit on the break. Truthfully, the quality of both teams has been a little lacking, with the hosts in particular being totally ineffective in and around the area, with only one out of their ten shots has troubling Jaguares goalkeeper Jorge Villalpando. In contrast, Jaguares have been fairly clinical in their much-rarer forays forward and should probably be more than one goal to the good after Antonio Pedroza came within inches of sliding a cross into an open goal at the back post late on in the half.
