An interesting and entertaining first half in Valencia as Real Madrid has been on the attack for the first 25 minutes, creating some excellent chances but failing to finish on several occasions. To say Barcelona are living dangerously, probably doesn't do the game justice at this point.
Real Madrid Vs. Barcelona 2011, Copa Del Rey Final: Scoreless At Halftime At The Mestalla
I’m struggling to recall a match in recent memory where a Barcelona side has been dominated and prevented from maintaining any real possession for an extended period of time. It’s a brilliant tactical display by Mourinho’s men tonight who are doing everything right except putting the ball in the back of the net.
Madrid's midfield is all over Barcelona preventing them from holding the ball, passing it around and finding space for the likes of Messi and David Villa to pick them apart. Instead, it's Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Özil who are putting on a show as they switch sides freely and continue to pressure the Barca defense.
Xavi and Andres Iniesta have been all but invisible for Barcelona and unless Guardiola can make the right adjustments at halftime, it seems like only a matter of time before Madrid finds their goal.
