Perovic's score gave the Revs the lead, but it was short-lived as Sporting Kansas City was able to tie it just two minutes later. Kei Kamara was able to beat Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis near post on a left-footed shot from about 16 yards out.
Feilhaber ended up with the Revolution after Chivas USA and the Philadelphia Union passed on the United States National Team midfielder. While Chivas USA made it clear that their decision was mostly about salary considerations, Union coach Nowak implied that he did not think particularly highly of Feilhaber.
