Masked Neymar Sent Off For Celebration

Neymar has done it again. The controversial 19-year-old Brazilian whose shenanigans are tolerated because he is one of the most incredibly talented young players in the world found a new way to make headlines, although this one doesn’t rank nearly as high on the bonehead scale as some other things. After scoring a sensational goal for his club Santos, a fan threw a mask with Neymar’s face on it onto the field. Neymar picked it up and put it on, but that earned him a yellow card, his second of the match.

↵The card was shown for using a foreign object to celebrate, but he didn’t carry it around all match and put it on. Neymar merely picked up something thrown and put it on, which is hardly a heinous offense. He did put the mask on upside down though. With that in mind, maybe it is pretty high on the bonehead scale.
