Looks like things have gone from bad to worse for Udinese, as captain Antonio Di Natale has been hobbling around the pitch. His 27th minute shot, taken with plenty of time and space, was a weak one. After the shot left his boot, Toto immediately looked over to his coach, signaling for a sub. Without Alexis Sanchez, however, Francesco Guidolin looks reluctant to make the substitution. Perhaps he knows that without Di Natale, Udinese have next to no chance of winning the match.
Udinese Vs. Roma: Antonio Di Natale Pulls Up With Injury, Remains In Match
The majority of Udinese’s goals have come through the tiny wonder duo of Toto and Alexi. Between them they have 37 of Udinese’s 56 goals, the rest coming from assorted zebrette. German Denis has been looking sprightly, at least, forcing saves from Roma keeper Doni. Still, there’s no comparison to a Sanchez - Di Natale duet, and Udinese will do whatever they can to keep Toto on the pitch. Possibly they have some sort of magic potion they can give him at the halftime whistle.
