Who needs Fredy Montero? The Seattle Sounders don't look like they do seven minutes into their match with the Chicago Fire thanks to a wonderful header by O'Brian White that has put them ahead. The Sounders now have a goal, something most figured would be difficult to come by with Montero, and their 36,000+ sell out crowd behind them.
Seattle Sounders Vs. Chicago Fire: O’Brian White Puts Sounders Ahead Early
The goal was not the result of a long build up, instead just a cross and finish. Mauro Rosales got some room on the right and played a cross into White, who outjumped two defenders and put a fantastic header past Sean Johnson. The header came from about 12 yards away and curled just inside the post perfectly. Now with a 1-0 lead, the Sounders will lean on their defense to make the lead stand up, but with four goals in their first two matches, Chicago can be counted on to challenge for a goal or two.
