Seemingly everyone has been behind Charlie Davies in his comeback from a life-threatening car accident, but even the most ardent of Davies supporters will find it difficult to argue that he didn't dive his way to a goal. Davie got the ball on the left and was defending 1v1 by Omar Gonzalez. After a couple little move, Davies took the ball towards the end line and Gonzalez put the slightest of touches on Davies with his arm. That's all Davies needed to throw his feet up in the air and hit the turf for what everyone saw was a dive. Well, everyone but the one man who mattered as the referee pointed to the spot.

Davies stepped to the spot to take the penalty and with Donovan Ricketts faking from side to side, Davies just chipped it right down the middle to get DC United the equalizer. It is Davies' league-leading fourth goal of the season and third to come from the penalty spot. Now, despite being down to 10 men, DC is just a few minutes away from earning a draw.
