Rivalries Are For Rubbing Salt In Open Wounds

Sports are good for many things, some positive, some negative. This bit of genius is downright cold hearted and thus, absolutely brilliant. As you can see, a group of Manchester United fans wanted to make sure everyone at Anfield on Sunday were fully aware that United had surpassed Liverpool with their 19th league title the day before. Quite nice of them really.

These well organized pranksters apparently had a getaway car waiting outside the stadium, plus fellow conspirators on the opposite side of the ground ready to get the photographic evidence. When the fans began singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, out came the banner and the rivalry between United and Liverpool gets another glorious moment.

I’m sure Liverpool supporters will feel otherwise about how great this banner was, but possibly your team should get motivated about taking back the record and winning their first top-flight title since 1990? Just saying.
