When it comes to jerseys for the United States women's team, maybe the United States Soccer Federation and Nike should just give up since they just can't seem to get it right. Heading into this summer's FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany, where the Americans are one of the favorites, they decided to dress the U.S. in nurse's outfits? Maybe they're all wearing headphones? Whatever it is, it isn't pretty. I guess the positive is that the stripe doesn't continue down to the shorts.
USWNT Jerseys For World Cup Look Anything But Good
This isn’t the first time that the USSF and Nike have completely ruined the women’s jerseys either. At the 2007 Women’s World Cup the U.S. didn’t wear red, white or blue. No, they had the audacity to wear gold. That looked really good as the team finished in third place. It’s a good thing the team saved face for Nike and the USSF by winning the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in their gold jerseys, but I don’t think there’s saving face with this. Just no.
